As usual when we go to a pub, hubby wanted Sausages, chips and gravy.
It was the special of the day!!!Yuk!!!
The sausages tasted like they were ready to be thrown out!!
The chips were frozen chips that were just heated.
The gravy....... definitely Gravox!!!!
He couldn't stomach it!!
Over the Verandah into the beer garden it went and even the birds didn't rush in!!!
I tried the Prawn cutlets. Bit into the first one, it was still half frozen.
Little to say, we got out of there very fast.
The staff weren't very friendly at all.
The amenities were filthy!!!!
I wouldn't waste my time or money to stop unless you want a quick Beer!!!!

maybe you should update your review in a few months, the hotel is under new management,and the restaurant is not functioning as yet, yes work is being done,
and all bar staff cannot be graded by the staff that was on duty when you visited.
thankyou for your oppinion but i have frequently visited this hotel, i have found the staff friendly and helpful, yes the premises were a bit tatty, but that has all changed,
with these new owners this hotel will thrive in all areas.

well, BGEyez i have an update for you in regrds to the hotel denman aberman- the new bistro is up and functioning, the sad thing about it, the meals are no better then before.
i wish i could say that the bar staff have improved as of late but to no avail it has lipped some what, we were served by a sour older looking female bar attendant, no smile or welcome, but there is one thing i can add is that the new owners have gave this lovely old hotel a complete clean over, congratulations on the effort.

hi once again,
the hotel denman decided to have a karaoke night last weekend, -WRONG-
regular customers were complaing quietly amongst themselves,
the staff were not with the right attitude for a night meant for fun,
drinks were delivered slowly to waiting customers,
the food from the restaurant was a little better then when i previously visited,
TAB facilities have been updated, but you still have to wait a little to long for assistance by bar attendants.
customer talk is that the thinner publican can be surly, much like the bar attendant that works for them,
there is still room for improvement in customer relations.
once again the hotel was lovely and clean, owners have pride in their hotel.
overall, the hotel denman is not a place to visit if you like to meet friendly people.
