Well we were told to try this one. We were a bit apprehensive to start with as it is hard to find good fish and chips. Anyway thought we would give it a go. Well they were the best fish and chips we have had in a long time. The staff a very friendly, the shop is clean as and as i said the chips and the fish were great. We go there quite a bit And it is always just as good every time. Would recommend it to anyone.

Hubby went to the shops and felt like a pie or 2 and saw this new shop at Jewellstown Plaza. It said on the shop window that it had won all these awards like best pies etc. Well he walked in, ordered he's pies cost him a fortune around $5 a pie, he than decided to look around, after he thought about his tummy, the floor was filthy, the baker looked like he needed a good tub, but there wasn't much he could do after he bought them and was about to walk out. His idea that the pies would taste great for the price and the awards. How wrong was he. They tasted horrible. I could only stomach 1 mouthful and told him i was full. Never again will we get pies or anything else from there.

Took a nice drive up to Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest. We got some fish and chips from a local take away at Tea Gardens in the new shopping centre. Just some chips, a few pieces of fish and a couple of pluto pups. Hubby raced in while the kids and i waited. It seemed like it took forever for him to come out, it seemed to be the slowest fish and chips that i have ever gotten. Took a nice drive back up the hill and sat at a rest stop with a beautiful view over Tea Gardens, sat at a table got the kids organised opened the packets up and well it wasn't the worst fish and chips that i have ever had but it came close. Hubby told me after we had eaten that the shop really wasn't the cleanest but the staff were pretty friendly.

Well what do i say!!! A few years ago hubby and i took the family to stay and we had dinner there. It was great. We enjoyed it so much and the food was to a great standard that we decided a few weeks ago to take the kids back just for a meal. They have done the place up and we thought it would maybe just as good if not better than the last time. We were so wrong!!! The food was just awful. I mean it was disgusting!!!!! We payed nearly $80 for 2 small nachos, a steak sandwich and 2 fish and chips. The nachos had baked beans in it, it was cold and tasted yuk. The steak was tough and the salad on it must have been a week old. Hubby took about 2 bites out of the sandwich and left the rest, it wasn't even good enough to feed to our dog. The fish and chips which ain't really hard to mess up but the fish wasn't fresh at all and this place is by the sea. It wasn't clean you could feel the grime on the doors and nobody bothered to wipe down the tables, just take the plates away. It is one disappointing place and we will never go back again.
